The Round Mountain Joinery built & run by Rick Loots is tucked away in the Ozark Mountains.
In his over 40 years of experience he has worked on projects from simple frames to entire houses.
Rick has been designing and building custom furniture since 1982. Rick designs each piece using
input from his client about their needs and dreams, as well as taking into account the surrounding environment
it will become part of. Each piece is then crafted using the woods that best speak to that design.
Rick has done work designed by and for various architects. The majority of his work has been for AIA
gold metal winner E.
Fay Jones and his former partner Maurice Jennings.
These projects include furniture and light fixtures for homes as well as pews, altars, light fixtures and furniture for chapels by
Jones and Jennings from coast to coast such as ThornCrown and SkyRose. These works have even made it to
the screen in movies and TV series such as Star Trek
and True Blood. A skilled and
well respected professional, Rick has earned high praise from those he has done work for over the years.
